The Njemanze dynasty in Owerri Municipal Council Area in Imo state, has cried out over alleged attempt by the Senator Hope Uzodinma administration to forcefully take-over Area K land at New Owerri.

Princess Stella Njemanze-Neboh made the appeal, following alleged forceful encroachment on the land by government officials, saying the said land is subject of litigation, which was won by the Njemanze family, cautionig against disobedience of the recent court judgement.

According to Princess Stella, the land case was won by the Njemanze family through a judgement delivered by Justice K A. Ojiako in suit number HOW/146/1999 at the State High Court.

Going back memory lane, she said she had earlier explained how the Njemanze family inherited the Area K land through a well documented process between the Njemanze dynasty and the people of Umuguma in Owerri West in compensation for the death of one of her uncles.

“We challenge anyone that claims to own a piece of property at Area K to rise up and tell us how their mother or grandmother convinced Umuguma to give her their piece of land.

“The truth, as narrated by my late Dad, is solid and it came from a man who witnessed how his brother was killed, the pain and agony my late grandfather, King Njemanze Ihenacho, Ozurigbo 1 of Owerre went through and had to endure.

“My grandfather would never want to trade the life of his son for a piece of land in Area K. He would rather have his son than the land he was given,” she said.

She called on Governor Uzodinma to step in and avert any fight with the Njemanzes and Owerre Nshi Ise, noting: “Your political party has elections coming up very soon.  You won Owerre Nshi Ise with a landslide because my people heard my call to support you, and they did.”
