According to a report by the Times of Israel on Saturday July 18, 2026, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed support for Argentina ahead of the country’s World Cup final against Spain, making the remarks during a meeting with Argentina’s ambassador to Israel.

According to Netanyahu’s office, Argentina’s ambassador, Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnish, delivered a message from Argentine President Javier Milei, who was described as extending greetings from his “friend.”
