Isaac Fayose to Remi Tinubu: Money for APC Cars Could Have Helped Poor Nigerians
Isaac Fayose, younger brother to former Ekiti State
Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has disagreed with the comments made by Nigeria’s
First Lady, Mrs Remi Tinubu, calling on Nigerian artistes to help poor
Nigerians.
In a video posted on X, Fayose criticised the First Lady for
asking state governors to buy brand-new cars for the All Progressives Congress,
APC, women leaders in their states.
According to him, that money could have been used to help
the poor Nigerian people, too.
Recall that the president’s wife on Saturday advised
Afrobeat musicians, including Davido, Asake, and Burna Boy, to assist the
government in helping poor citizens.
Reacting, Fayose said, “I saw a video of Remi Tinubu
advising Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake to use their music money for charity.
“I disagree with you ma. You’re the one who asked state
governors to buy brand-new cars for APC women leaders in their states. That
money could have been used to help people too.”
