Iran Strikes In Jordan Kill 2 US Soldiers, 1 Missing As Washington Intensifies Airstrikes

Two United States service members were killed while another remains missing after Iran launched ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan, the US military has confirmed.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said four additional American troops were medically evacuated to hospitals in Jordan following Friday’s attack but have since been discharged, while personnel with minor injuries have returned to duty.

Jordan’s military earlier announced that its air defence systems intercepted 10 Iranian missiles that entered the country’s airspace overnight, adding that no damage was recorded.

The latest casualties came as the United States carried out a seventh consecutive night of airstrikes against targets in Iran, escalating the conflict despite President Donald Trump’s earlier declaration that a temporary ceasefire agreement had collapsed.

The renewed military operations mark another significant escalation in the confrontation between Washington and Tehran, which has seen repeated exchanges of missile strikes and retaliatory attacks in recent days.

The US has maintained that its strikes are aimed at degrading Iran’s military capabilities, while Iran has continued to launch missile and drone attacks against US interests in the region.
