INEC confirmed that Gwarzo had met all the necessities and was eligible to contest the election.
The clearance was conveyed in a letter issued to the NDC management in Kano on Thursday.

Reacting to the event, supporters of the NDC candidate in Kano described the clearance as a significant step in direction of reclaiming the state.
Gwarzo, a former commissioner in Kano State, is anticipated to formally flag off his marketing campaign within the coming weeks.
