If Military Can Rescue Oyo Victims, They Should Rescue Borno Students -Olapade On What Nigerian Want

According to a recent video by Morayo Show on Monday, July 13, 2026, a political analyst, Taiwo Olapade, has challenged the Nigerian military to replicate the success in Borno State, where scores of students remain in captivity.

Olapade argued that if the military could successfully execute the Oyo operation through a joint effort with the Department of State Services, the same template should be applied to secure the release of abducted students in the North-East.

He also called on President Bola Tinubu to address the nation directly, similar to how former U.S. President Donald Trump would publicly respond whenever an American citizen was killed or kidnapped. Olapade maintained that such a presidential address would reassure Nigerians and signal that the government is taking the security crisis seriously.

While commending the military for the Oyo rescue, Olapade expressed deep distrust in government communications, noting that “if they give us 10 pieces of information, eight or nine are not true.”

He warned that the long-standing trust deficit has continued into the current administration, urging citizens to remain cautious while still supporting security forces in their ongoing operations.
