‘I want to leave Aso Rock in 2031 to a Nigeria I can enjoy’ — Remi Tinubu

First Lady Remi Tinubu has expressed her desire to leave the Presidential Villa in 2031 to enter a country she can comfortably enjoy as a woman in her 70s.
She made the remarks on Friday, October 23 while officially inaugurating the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement.
“I want to leave Aso Rock, in 2031, by the grace of God, and enter a Nigeria that me as a 70-something-year-old woman will enjoy,” she said.
The First Lady playfully dismissed critics who argue that meaningful progress has not been made, referencing “JigiBola,” an eye-care initiative launched during her husband’s tenure as governor of Lagos State.
“So things are happening in Nigeria, except, you know, those who don’t see; maybe we’ll give them some, you know, Bola Tinubu eyeglasses. We are doing that, JigiBola,” she stated.
