Health experts, policy makers, innovators kick off APHCF conference in Abuja

The 2nd Annual Africa Primary Health Care Forum (APHCF) officially kicked off, Tuesday in Abuja, with healthcare experts, policy makers and innovators from across the continent.

This forum serves as a critical continental platform designed to tackle pressing healthcare challenges and unlock breakthrough solutions for community health.

The theme: “Frontiers in PHC Technology, NCDs, Nutrition and Sustainable Financing for Resilience,” APHCF 2026 is laser-focused on moving beyond dialogue to forge actionable resilience across African health systems.

The main conference proceedings, taking place on July 30–31, 2026, are anchored around three strategic sub-themes: The Preventive Pillar (Vaccines, Nutrition & NCDs), Shifting the paradigm from reactive care to proactive wellness by strengthening immunization infrastructure, combating malnutrition, and curbing the rising tide of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

“The Digital Frontier (AI & Tech at the Frontlines) is exploring how artificial intelligence, telemedicine and digital health tools can be scaled effectively to empower frontline health workers and bridge the rural-urban care gap.
