Group to Nasarawa government: Provide impartial security coverage to candidates, parties ahead of 2027

The IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Movement 2027, weekend, urged the Nasarawa state government to provide a level playing field, adequate security coverage, and equal protection to all political parties and candidates without exception.
The former IGP Adamu, who lost the governorship primary to Sen. Aliyu Wadada, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), later joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to realise his ambition.
Chairman, Counter and Mobilisation, Rtd IGP Adamu 2027 Movement, Isa Nathaniel, stated this Sunday, in Lafia.
He asked the Nasarawa government for strict, equal protection and uniform security treatment for all political camps and stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He accused the security agencies of selectively targeting, arresting, and detaining only members and supporters associated with the former IGP Adamu, while known instigators and aggressors from opposing camps were being shielded and ignored.
The group demanded for the immediate and unconditional release of all supporters of the Movement currently languishing in what they described as “unjust detention.”
“It is shameful, tyrannical, and completely unacceptable that recent events in Lafia, the state capital, expose a blatant pattern of bias, double standards, and weaponised law enforcement,” he said.
