FRSC dispatchess 19,560 quantity plates to FCT in October

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Tuesday mentioned it dispatched 19,560 pairs of motorcar quantity plates to the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in October 2026.

The dispatches, made on October 8 and 20, comprised totally different classes of quantity plates, together with non-public, business, seller and articulated car plates.

The dispatch information acknowledged that the primary batch of 15,205 pairs delivered on October 8 comprised 15,169 pairs of personal car plates, 32 pairs of personal fancy plates and 4 pairs of out of collection plates.

The second batch of 4,355 pairs, dispatched on October 20, comprised 1,998 pairs of personal car plates, 999 pairs of business car plates, eight pairs of metropolis authorities plates, 900 pairs of seller plates, and 450 pairs of articulated car plates as acknowledged in a press release

The corps mentioned the disclosure was meant to advertise transparency and supply correct data on the manufacturing and distribution of quantity plates, significantly amid issues over delays of their assortment by motorists.

It clarified that the dispatch of quantity plates by the FRSC is distinct from their subsequent issuance to candidates, which entails administrative processes dealt with by the related car registration authorities.
