Enjoy your stay in Borno – Zulum tells corps members amid rising insecurity

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has encouraged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the state to settle in and enjoy their service year. His statement comes amid growing insecurity in the state.

Speaking to corps members during a working visit to Biu on Wednesday, Zulum assured them that they would be welcomed in the state, while assuring them of their safety.

“Borno is your home, and enjoy your service,” the governor said.

He said his administration would continue to supporti young people and creating opportunities for them to contribute to the state’s development. According to him, investing in youths remains important for rebuilding livelihoods and driving economic recovery.

During his visit, the governor paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Biu, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Mustapha II, and announced plans to employ 100 graduates from Biu Local Government Area.
