A commercial bus driver has been arrested after allegedly
causing a fatal crash that killed a passenger and left several others injured
during a trip from Onitsha to Lagos.
The driver, identified as Ifeanyi Okwuaja, reportedly works
with Abia City Mass Transit.
In a viral video, a narrator was heard saying Okwuaja got
into a heated argument with the passenger seated beside him during the journey
before allegedly threatening him.
The video alleged that the driver later spotted a stationary
truck around the Ijebu-Ode area of Osun state and deliberately veered the bus
into it.
The passenger reportedly died instantly, with several others
sustaining injuries.
The driver was said to have fled the scene after the
incident, and returned to his hometown in Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo state.
According to the video, Okwuaja did not report the incident
