HRH Beatrice Oyete Agama, the mother of former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has expressed profound appreciation to Governor, Senator Douye Diri, Chief Denzil Amagbe Kentebe; Ambassador Boladei Igali; Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo; Prof. Steve Azaiki; Prof. and Mrs. Gabriel Independence; Chief Joshua Fumudoh; His Royal Majesty King Victor Diemeze Awala, FCIM, Ebeni Ibe VIII, the Ebeni Ibe of Atissa Kingdom; Sir Ovie Omeleh, KSP, Omo Ubie; members of the Atissa Kingdom Council of Chiefs; and HRM Mala Sasimi, King of Epie Kingdom and other prominent Ijaw leaders, traditional rulers, political figures, professionals and diaspora organizations for their unwavering support throughout what she described as an 11-year period of legal and public challenges involving her daughter, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke.

In an emotional appreciation released following Alison-Madueke’s acquittal in the United Kingdom, the royal mother thanked those who stood firmly with her family despite years of intense public scrutiny and legal proceedings.

Agama said the encouragement, prayers and steadfast loyalty of supporters gave the family strength to endure one of the most difficult periods in their lives.

“I publicly thank everyone who remained steadfast with us during these long 11 years. Your prayers, quiet strength and unwavering faith carried us through the darkest of times,” she stated.

Describing the court outcome as a shared triumph, Agama emphasized that her daughter’s vindication was not solely a personal victory but one collectively celebrated by all those who believed in her innocence.

“My daughter’s vindication is not just my victory—it is your victory too,” she declared, concluding the letter with what she described as “a mother’s blessing.”
