According to local media, authorities in Limassol remain on high alert following an explosion in the city centre at approximately 3.30am local time.

Conflicting reports suggest the building affected was a nightclub, while others indicate the site accommodates the city’s cultural centre in central Limassol.

The explosion is understood to have caused damage to the building’s entrance, along with a vehicle parked nearby on Megalou Alexandrou Street.
