Body of woman with severed head dumped by the roadside in Ondo

An unidentified woman has been found de@d with her head severed along Barracks Road near the GRA Roundabout in Ondo town.

Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo Police Command, DSP Jimoh Abayomi, said the police recovered her body from where it was dumped after receiving a distress call from residents of the area.

Abayomi said preliminary observations revealed that several parts of the body had been mutilated, prompting an immediate investigation by the command.

“Upon arrival, the officers discovered the headless body of a female victim. Preliminary observations revealed that several parts of the body had been mutilated. Investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, identify the deceased, apprehend those responsible and establish the motive behind the gruesome act,” Abayomi stated.

The police spokesperson assured residents that the command is committed to uncovering those behind the crime and bringing them to justice.
