Atiku Reacts As Tinubu Government Increases WAEC And NECO Fees From N27,500 To N50,000

The former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar has reacted after the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu increased the registration fee of WAEC and NECO examinations to N50,000.

According to PUNCH, the initial registration fee for the examinations was N27,500 before the Federal Government increased it to N50,000.

In the report that surfaced online, the former Vice President of Nigeria criticized the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the increase. Atiku Abubakar asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reverse the decision.

The former Vice President of Nigeria said the Federal Government should be working on how to bring out of school children back to school instead of sending more children away from school.

According to PUNCH, Atiku Abubakar said that;

“Nigeria already bears the painful distinction of having one of the largest populations of out of school children in the world. Any government confronted with such a national emergency should be investing aggressively to bring these children back into school…....
