APC Has no Opposition in Ondo, Says Senator Ipinsagba

Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, has boldly declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) faces no meaningful opposition in Ondo State as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections. 

Ipinsagba, who recently emerged as the APC candidate for the Ondo North senatorial seat, made the remarks on Friday in Ikare-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North-West Local Government Area, while addressing party loyalists and supporters.

He expressed strong confidence that the APC would sweep the presidential, senatorial, and House of Representatives elections across the state, attributing the party’s dominance to the strong performance of its candidates and President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing national transformation agenda.

“It is sure President Bola Tinubu would secure victory here; he is everybody’s candidate, and we can all see the transformation that is going on across the country. His achievements have weakened any opposition candidate. So his reelection is sure by God’s grace,” the senator said.

 Highlighting the APC’s grip on the state, Ipinsagba challenged anyone to name a credible opposition candidate capable of defeating APC nominees.

“In Ondo State, tell me one candidate of any of the opposition parties that can defeat the candidates of the APC.

We, all the returning National Assembly members, are performing well in our respective constituencies, and the people love us. So we are winning; I don’t see any opposition in Ondo,” he added.

The lawmaker urged APC members to remain united and focused, setting aside any differences to deliver victory for the party at all levels in 2027.

He also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and other party leaders for their support during the primaries.

Other APC leaders at the event, including former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly Fatai Olotu and Mopelola Salami, echoed calls for party unity and predicted a strong return for Ipinsagba and President Tinubu.
