The Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a N28.1 billion revenue collection in 24 hours – the highest single-day revenue collection ever recorded by the command.

The feat, which was recorded on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, surpassed the previous daily record of N20.1 billion achieved in September 2025, also in the tenure of the incumbent Compt. Emmanuel Oshoba, shortly after the assumption office at the command. The new record comes weeks after the command achieved an unprecedented N323 billion monthly revenue collection in July 2026.

It further demonstrated the sustained impact of reforms, improved compliance, enhanced trade facilitation, intelligence-driven interventions and the increasing efficiency of digital Customs processes, a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Isah Sulaiman, noted.

According to Compt. Oshoba, the achievement is not simply about figures or records but the NCS’ contribution to the economic wellbeing of Nigerians.
