AkwaIbom flags off FarmerMoni enumeration, trains desk officers

The Akwa Ibom state authorities has flagged off the enumeration of FarmerMoni beneficiaries and coaching of Local Government Desk Officers to facilitate entry to monetary help for susceptible smallholder farmers and strengthen agricultural productiveness.
The train held Monday on the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Uyo, is being applied underneath the Federal Government’s Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) by means of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga, stated the initiative would assist farmers overcome monetary constraints, enhance agricultural output and contribute to meals safety.
She noticed that many smallholder farmers continued to face difficulties accessing inexpensive financing, high quality agricultural inputs and different important help wanted to broaden their farms and enhance their livelihoods.
Ibanga recognized ladies farmers, younger folks, individuals with disabilities and farmers in distant communities as precedence teams requiring inclusive entry to authorities interventions.
She stated the programme aligned with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE agenda, notably its deal with meals safety, agricultural growth and strengthening agricultural worth chains.
