Akpabio, Northern Senators felicitate Vice President Shettima @60

The President of the Senate , Godswill Akpabio and 58 serving Senators from the North, Wednesday rejoiced with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, on his 60th birthday celebration.
In separate goodwill messages, Akpabio and the Northern Senators described Shettima at 60 as an accomplished public servant, steadfast patriot and bridge builder.
Specifically, Akpabio in a personally signed statement, said Shettima’s public service trajectory from Commissioner to Governor, Senator and now Vice President—has been distinguished by courage in adversity, intellectual depth, loyalty to country and an abiding conviction in the promise of Nigeria.
He eulogised Shettima further by saying, “You governed Borno State at one of the most difficult periods in its history, when terror tested the resilience of its people and challenged the authority of the Nigerian state. Yet you remained at your duty post, providing leadership in the face of danger and demonstrating that adversity must never be permitted to extinguish hope.
“Today, as Vice President, you bring that same resilience, experience and patriotic commitment to the service of our nation. Your partnership with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda demonstrates the importance of unity of purpose at the highest levels of government as we confront the challenges of the present and lay the foundations for a more prosperous future”
Similarly the Northern Senators in a statement signed by their Chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua ( Katsina Central), said Shettima as Vice President, as proven to be a national leader of repute, serving with admirable conviction, competence, and compassion, and speaking for the administration with clarity and commitment.
According to them, Shettima in the 9th Senate, distinguished himself as a bridge-builder and a voice of reason and today as Vice President, playing balancing role as both a loyal lieutenant to Mr. President and a voice for his people which is a testament to his political dexterity.
They said : “As the leading representative of Northern Nigeria within the present administration, you carry the hopes and expectations of millions and stand as a steady voice for national unity and stability.
“We are confident that your deep understanding of our region’s challenges, combined with your capacity for dialogue and reconciliation, will continue to ensure that the North receives its fair share of development while remaining fully integrated in the Nigerian project.
“On this special day, the Northern Senators Forum celebrates you and prays for more wisdom, strength, and good health”.
