“How come we don’t see father-in-law and son-in-law fights online?” — Instagram user asks

An Instagram user has questioned why conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law appear to be more common on social media than disputes involving fathers-in-law and sons-in-law.

In a video shared online, the woman said she rarely sees posts about men having issues with their fathers-in-law, despite frequently seeing stories about mothers and daughters-in-law clashing.

She stressed that such conflicts involving men may exist but argued that they are rarely discussed publicly.

“How come we barely see father-in-laws fighting their daughter-in-laws? I’m not saying they don’t exist because you guys like to twist my word,” she said.

The woman also urged women to hold themselves accountable, arguing that some conversations about gender relations overlook conflicts between women.

She compared the situation to social media posts from women saying they would not want to marry a man whose mother is still alive, adding that she had never seen a similar sentiment directed at a man’s father.
