2027: No combat with Atiku, we’re one united household – South-West ADC leaders declare
Leaders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, within the South-West geopolitical zone have denied experiences of a rift with the get together’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
This is contained in an announcement by the fast previous South-West Zonal Chairman of the get together, Rasak Eyiowuawi on Sunday.
The South-West ADC leaders launched the assertion after an important closed-door assembly in Ibadan, Oyo State, stating that the get together is united and stronger than ever forward of the 2027 normal elections.
They stated Atiku stays a revered chief of the ADC coalition and there’s no combat over presidential ticket.
According to them, experiences circulating on social media that South-West ADC leaders rejected Atiku and backed Peter Obi are false, deceptive and handiwork of mischief makers.
“There is no rift with Atiku Abubakar. We are one family in South-West ADC. Atiku remains our leader and father. We have no fight with him over ticket,” the leaders stated.
They added that the ADC is the one get together that may defeat the APC in 2027 and that they won’t permit division to destroy the coalition.
“We are calling on all our supporters to disregard rumours of division in the ADC. Atiku is our leader, Peter Obi is our leader, Amaechi is our leader – we are all one. Our focus is to win 2027,” they declared.
The clarification comes amid experiences that South-West ADC leaders rejected Atiku’s presidential ambition and endorsed Peter Obi as the only real candidate for the South.
