2027 elections: Akwa Ibom community in North-east endorses Eno, Akpabio, Tinubu for second term

The Akwa Ibom community in Adamawa and Taraba states  weekend unanimously endorsed Akwa Ibom state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for a second term in office, citing his inclusive leadership style, people-oriented governance and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Akwa Ibom people both at home and in the diaspora.

The endorsement was contained in a communiqué issued after a congressional meeting of Akwa Ibom indigenes resident in North-East Nigeria recently, and made available to newsmen in Uyo on Sunday.

The group, comprising Esop Ndito Ibibio, Afe Annang and the Oron Development Union, also endorsed Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for another term as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District, alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 general elections.

In a letter addressed to Governor Eno and signed by the chairman of Akwa Ibom community in Adamawa state, Mkpisong Obong Sunday Philip Okon, and publicity secretary, Ata-Uko Francis Etuk, the group praised the governor’s “visionary leadership, inclusive governance, commitment to human and community development of his ARISE Agenda.”

The community noted that, Governor Eno’s leadership had continued to resonate beyond the borders of Akwa Ibom state, especially among indigenes residing in different parts of the country.
