2 Months Ago, My Colleague Couldn’t Pay N700k For His Daughter’s School Fees, I Helped Him -Obika
In an interview with KAATRUTH on Thursday, July 23, 2026, Hon. Chinedu Obika, who represents the AMAC and Bwari Federal Constituency in Abuja, has revealed how he came to the aid of a fellow lawmaker who was unable to raise N700,000 to pay his daughter’s school fees.
Obika made the statement while reacting to claims that members of the National Assembly receive huge financial benefits from the President, which he said was the reason they do not speak out. He described the claim as an irony, saying some members of the National Assembly also face financial difficulties.
The lawmaker said that a few months ago, one of his colleagues could not afford to pay his daughter’s N700,000 school fees, adding that he was among those who contributed to helping the colleague settle the bill.
According to him,
“About two months ago, a colleague of mine could not pay N700,000 for his daughter’s school fees. I was part of helping him out to get that done…....
