ZASCOSA seeks alumni support to develop alma mater.

The National Executive Council of the Zang Secondary Commercial Old Students Association (ZASCOSA) has intensified efforts to engage prominent alumni and stakeholders, with a courtesy visit to Dr Ibrahim Maren Makut, Director of Audit at the ECWA Headquarters, Jos.

This was contained in a statement issued Pam Danchal Toy, the National Publicity Secretary of ZASCOSA, on Thursday.

The delegation, led by the National President of ZASCOSA, ESV Dung Nehemiah Rwang, described the visit as part of the new executive’s strategic plan to strengthen the association and contribute to the development of its alma mater.

He said the engagement formed part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the association’s leadership and its distinguished alumni.

Mr. Rwang said the association considered it important to draw from the wealth of knowledge, experience and mentorship of senior alumni and pioneer members.

“The visit was part of the strategic plan of the new National Executive to engage critical stakeholders in order to drive the growth of ZASCOSA and the school,” he said.

The ZASCOSA president also briefed Dr Makut on the ongoing review of the association’s constitution and solicited his guidance and contributions to the exercise.

Responding, Dr Makut expressed appreciation to the executive for the recognition, saying he was honoured by the visit and did not take the gesture for granted, particularly given the large population of alumni.

He congratulated the newly elected National Executive Council, acknowledging the enormity of the task before it but expressing confidence in its ability to succeed.

“The task ahead is herculean, but I have confidence in the capacity of the new executive to deliver,” Dr Makut said, pledging his continued commitment and unalloyed support towards the growth and success of ZASCOSA.

The former student urged the leadership to remain focused and work collectively towards advancing the objectives of the association and promoting the development of the school.

According to the statement, Dr Makut, was a member of the Class of 1983 and a committed stakeholder in ZASCOSA affairs, was recognised by the executive for his longstanding contributions and experience.

It said the meeting ended with prayers and a charge on the National Executive Council to remain steadfast in its responsibilities and work towards a successful tenure.
