'You declare Nigerians love you, but your billboards want guards' – Atiku tackles Tinubu
Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the safety preparations round his marketing campaign billboards in Kaduna State, questioning the federal government’s priorities amid worsening insecurity.
Atiku accused the president of prioritising the safety of his picture whereas Nigerians proceed to face assaults by bandits and terrorists.
The former vice chairman made the remarks in a put up on his X account on Friday.
“Bola, you claim Nigerians love you, yet your billboards in Kaduna require security guards. Bandits raid villages, terrorists attack communities, and families live in fear,” Atiku wrote.
He argued that the safety offered for the president’s billboards contrasted with the state of affairs in communities the place residents battle to guard themselves in opposition to assaults.
“Your posters enjoy protection that millions of Nigerians can only dream of. What a tragic statement of your government’s priorities,” he added.
Atiku urged Tinubu to present the safety of Nigerians the identical urgency he allegedly provides to safeguarding his public picture.
“Bola, please protect Nigerians with the same urgency you protect your image!” he stated.
