“We’re Grateful”: Oyo School Principal Thanks President Tinubu Moments After Release With Colleagues, Pupils

An Oyo State school principal has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu moments after she, her colleagues, and pupils regained their freedom on Thursday, July 10.

The principal, who was overcome with emotion, thanked the President and security agencies for their efforts that led to their release.

She, her colleagues, and the pupils were reportedly held captive before being freed today. Details of the incident are still emerging.

Speaking shortly after their release, the principal said the experience was traumatic but they are grateful to be alive and back with their families.

She urged government at all levels to do more to ensure the safety of schools across the country.
