Market Outlook
The steady arrival of PMS, AGO and LPG cargoes indicates that coastal product distribution remains active despite heightened geopolitical tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. The continued loading of vessels from Dangote Refinery is expected to strengthen inventories across major depots, improve nationwide product availability and cushion the domestic market against immediate supply disruptions.
While international oil prices have risen sharply following renewed military exchanges between the United States and Iran, the sustained inflow of locally sourced cargoes from Dangote Refinery is expected to moderate supply pressures in Nigeria’s downstream market. However, marketers will continue to monitor developments in the Middle East closely, as any prolonged disruption to global crude and refined product flows could eventually influence replacement costs and depot pricing.
