The United States has launched a fresh round of military strikes against Iran, extending its aerial campaign into a third consecutive night as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict remain deadlocked.
The latest operation was confirmed on Monday by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), which said the attacks began at about 4:45 p.m. GMT and formed part of ongoing military operations against Iranian targets.

According to the US military, the sustained bombardment is intended to inflict significant losses on Iranian forces and diminish their capacity to threaten civilians and commercial shipping along the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM maintained that the strikes would continue as part of efforts to degrade Iran’s operational capabilities amid the escalating hostilities.
The renewed offensive comes against the backdrop of stalled negotiations aimed at ending the conflict, fuelling concerns that the crisis could widen and further destabilise the Middle East.
