Tinubu Is Our Son, Katsina Will Vote Him In 2027 — Radda

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has pledged the state’s help for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, citing the President’s political ties to former leaders Muhammadu Buhari and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Radda mentioned Tinubu’s longstanding relationships with outstanding Katsina politicians and his help for the state’s pursuits would assist safe votes for him within the subsequent presidential election.

The governor spoke on Monday whereas receiving a delegation led by former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, who visited Katsina to mobilise help for Tinubu.

Yari’s delegation visited the Katsina and Daura emirates as a part of its engagement with conventional establishments forward of the 2027 elections.

Radda mentioned the delegation had met conventional rulers to clarify Tinubu’s plans and solicit their help.

“He was here to canvas for votes. He has gone around to visit the traditional institutions to explain to them the mission and vision of Mr President and his intention for this country,” the governor mentioned.

He added that the state had assured the delegation of its dedication to Tinubu’s re-election.

“We assured them of our efforts to ensure the victory of Mr President come 2027 election, Insha Allah,” Radda mentioned.

The governor claimed the delegation acquired a constructive response from residents and conventional rulers, who he mentioned had pledged their loyalty to Tinubu.

“They have shown their support, and they have pledged their loyalty to Mr President. They consider Mr President as the son of the soil,” he mentioned.

Radda linked Tinubu’s relationship with Katsina to his political affiliation with Buhari, who ruled Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, and his friendship with Yar’Adua, who died in workplace in 2010.

“He has been a political friend to our late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. So Katsina State is his home, and he has come to reassure us,” the governor mentioned.

Yari declined to touch upon the aim of his go to when approached, whereas Radda mentioned the engagements have been a part of efforts to consolidate help for Tinubu forward of the 2027 basic elections.
