Syria will host its first business forum with the United States on Monday, marking a new phase in economic engagement after Washington eased long-standing sanctions on Damascus.

The event, organised by Syria’s Ministry of Economy and Industry together with the Syrian-American Business Council, will bring together government officials, investors and business leaders from both countries, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The forum will focus on Syria’s economic recovery, reform efforts and investment opportunities, while exploring ways to expand cooperation between the two private sectors.
