Suleja stakeholders, women group endorse Bago for re-election

Political stakeholders and women’s groups in Suleja local government of Niger state, under the umbrella of the Yan Amanan IBN Movement, have endorsed Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term in office.
The chairman of Suleja local government area and leader of the Yan Amanan IBN for Bago Movement, Isyaku Bawa Na’ibi, stated this in a chat with journalists in Suleja on Friday.
He said the Movement had brought together APC stalwarts, stakeholders, and political groups from the nooks and crannies of Suleja local government area to officially reaffirm their support and endorsement of the governor.
“The Yan Amanan IBN Movement has eight key areas that justified the endorsement of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term. These include women’s inclusion in governance, women’s economic empowerment, agriculture and food security, youth empowerment, and human capital development,” he said.
He enumerated other areas to include infrastructure and connectivity, education, healthcare, grassroots development, and all inclusive governance.
Na’ibi implored indigenes, especially those residing in Suleja, to give maximum support to the governor to ensure continuity in the delivery of more development projects.
He noted that “no political office holder has brought development to Suleja LGA comparable to that of Governor Umaru Bago since the LGA’s creation,” citing the on-going expansion of major roads in the town.
Speaking on behalf of Suleja women, Abigail Adamilo Adagada said the group had intensified massive mobilisation of rural communities for the governor’s re-election.
She said, “The group’s support for Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term is not borne out of political convenience, but it is anchored on evidence, performance, and the visible transformation which the governor has brought to the state under the New Niger Agenda.”
