Russia says 6 dead, 40 injured in Ukraine drone strike on beach as video emerges
Russian authorities said at least seven people, including three children, were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike on a populated beach in the south-west.
About 40 others were injured. The drone may have been targeting a Russian naval base, but it’s unclear whether Russia intercepted the aircraft before it hit the beach.
Affected bystanders said there were no sirens to warn of the imminent threat, according to witnesses who spoke with local media outlets.
The moment was captured in a chilling video, showing the drone steadily steer onto the populous beach before exploding. A large white plume is seen seconds later.
