Police arrest 45-year-old man for def!ling his buddy’s granddaughter in Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Adeyemo Mukaila, for def!ling his buddy’s granddaughter.

The spokesperson for the command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, disclosed this in a press release on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

According to the PPRO, the suspect was arrested after members of the general public caught him def!ling the sufferer in a bush.

Ojelabi disclosed that the suspect had earlier dragged the sufferer inside his room and had canal information of her.

“The suspect, one Adeyemi Mukaila is a friend to victim’s grandmother and often visits her at home hence the victim stays with her grandmother. Sometimes in the month of September, 2026 the suspect called the victim to come and get him some items and when she got to his house he dragged her inside his room, removed her pant and had canal knowledge of her,” the statement read.

“Furthermore, on 2nd of October being the sufferer’s birthday, the sufferer gladly knowledgeable him of her birthday and requested for a birthday reward from him, the suspect gave her one thousand (N1,000.00k), on the identical time demanded for a present from her which in flip she went to purchase him some biscuit, took it to him in his workshop round Ilupeju space of Ikire.

“The suspect then dragged her into the nearby bush and had canal knowledge of her.

“When he seen that folks had already seen them, he took to his heels into the bush, the commuters adopted the sufferer and requested her what he did to her which she defined to them earlier than they went after the suspect, arrested him and handed him over to the Police.

“The Command wish to encourage members of the public especially parents to remain vigilant, and promptly report suspicious movements and criminal activities to the nearest police station or through established police emergency channels.”
