Phelan Fire Evacuation Map: Summit Fire Near Pinon Hills Grows to 600 Acres, Evacuation Orders Issued

The Summit Fire burning west of Piñon Hills has expanded to 600 acres, prompting evacuation orders in parts of Los Angeles County.

Evacuation orders have been issued near Llano in northern Los Angeles County after the fast-moving Summit Fire broke out Friday afternoon near the Los Angeles-San Bernardino county line.

As of 2:30 p.m., the brush fire had scorched at least 600 acres, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management. The fire is burning along Jesus Canyon Road, approximately 2.7 miles west of Piñon Hills, spanning areas in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties.

The blaze remains active, and no containment has been reported.

Authorities have upgraded earlier evacuation warnings to Level 3 (Go) evacuation orders for Los Angeles County evacuation zone LAC-E107.

Level 2 (Set) evacuation warnings remain in effect for LAC-E127-A, LAC-E127-C, and LAC-E1340.

Officials have advised residents to expect heavier traffic along Pearblossom Highway and Highway 138 as evacuations continue.

Fire crews remain on scene as they work to contain the rapidly spreading wildfire, while officials continue to monitor conditions and urge residents in affected areas to follow evacuation instructions.
