The Ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives vestigating the unestablished Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has invited the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to explain all it knows about the agency.
The summon was sequel to earlier submissions by Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Dunoma Umar Ahmed, saying that the Ministry wrote to the ONSA on October 16, 2025, requesting clarification on the status of Prince Adeyemi as Director-General of the PFIPC.
Chairman of the committee, Yusuf Gagdi, expressed concern over the disclosure that the ONSA was established as far back as November, 2025, and that the alleged DG and the purported council were not recognised.
“It is now the duty of the committee to move further and invite the Office of the National Security Adviser to come and answer the very important question..
“What have you done as an office that has the power and capacity to carry out further investigation in respect of this matter?
“He (NSA) is to appear before this committee because the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received correspondence from the suspended Director-General and suspected foul play and discrepancies,” he said.
