Palm Beach International Airport becomes President Donald J. Trump airport

A memo circulating online claims that Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport will be renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport, with the change taking effect on July 9, 2026, following recently passed legislation.

The memo, reportedly sent to airline staff, states that the airport’s International Air Transport Association (IATA) code will also change from PBI to DJT on August 18, 2026.

According to the document, airport applications, including QIK, ACE and Falcon, will transition to the new airport code from August 18. It also notes that during a transition period, some systems and manuals may continue to reference the airport by its previous name and code, advising users to revert to PBI if DJT is not yet supported.

The reported development comes amid broader claims that President Trump has sought to rename several prominent institutions and locations during his second term.

However, as of the time of reporting, there has been no independent confirmation from Palm Beach International Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), or the International Air Transport Association (IATA) officially announcing the airport’s renaming or the code change.
