Oyo: It’s Hard For People To Believe Us That No Ransom Was Paid & No Prisoners Were Exchanged -Enenche

General John Enenche (rtd), a former Army spokesperson, has reacted to the rescue of the teachers and schoolchildren abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In an interview with Channels Television, General Enenche said some Nigerians find it difficult to believe the government’s claim that no ransom was paid and no prisoner exchange took place during the rescue operation. He said this is because there have been instances in the past where the government paid ransom to get victims released and then denied it

However, General Enenche said it is easy to rescue kidnap victims without paying ransom. He said when he was in the military he once took part in an operation where kidnap victims were rescued without any ransom paid.

In General Enenche’s words: “I think it is difficult for Nigerians to believe all that we have said that there was no exchange of prisoners, no ransom paid and all that. I don’t blame Nigerians…....
