Oyedepo to Tinubu: Stop Pretending, Take Action on Insecurity, Economy
General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has criticized President Bola Tinubu over Nigeria’s worsening insecurity and economic hardship.
In a viral video, Oyedepo accused the administration of failing to take decisive steps to address the country’s challenges, warning that Nigerians may no longer remain silent in the face of persistent attacks and killings.
He condemned those behind the violence, stressing that victims should not be expected to sympathize with perpetrators.
“The president needs to act now and stop pretending. You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I will pray against you and your household,” Oyedepo declared.
The cleric further accused the government of acting as though it was unaware of the severity of the crisis, saying leaders had failed to show the urgency required to protect citizens and restore confidence.
Oyedepo’s remarks add to growing calls for stronger government action as insecurity and economic hardship continue to dominate Nigeria’s national discourse.
