Ogun central: Communities rally support for Iyabo Obasanjo Bello

Residents and political stakeholders across several local government areas in Ogun Central Senatorial District have intensified support for the senatoria candidate of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Prof. Iyabo Obasanjo Bello ahead of the 2027 general election.
The growing endorsement was witnessed in communities across Ifo, Ewekoro, Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Obafemi-Owode and Odeda Local Government Areas, where supporters described her as a candidate with the experience, competence and leadership qualities required to provide effective representation at the National Assembly.
Speaking during separate grassroots mobilisation activities, party faithful under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said Ogun Central deserves a senator with a proven record of excellence, integrity and commitment to public service.
According to the supporters, Prof. Obasanjo Bello’s credentials in public service, education and national development make her the preferred choice to represent the district in the Senate.
They expressed confidence that her emergence would bring purposeful representation, quality legislation and effective advocacy for improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, education and economic development across the six local government areas that make up Ogun Central Senatorial District.
The mobilisation was coordinated by the Ogun Central Senatorial Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, who called on party members and residents to remain united and committed to building a stronger and more prosperous Ogun Central through democratic participation.
Supporters maintained that Prof. Iyabo Obasanjo Bello represents a credible alternative capable of delivering responsive and people-oriented leadership for the district if elected in 2027.
Mrs. Kemi Adewale, a member of the Iyaniwura Foundation in Ifo, said the group believes Prof. Iyabo Obasanjo Bello possesses the experience and capacity to provide quality representation for Ogun Central.
“We have seen her commitment to education, women empowerment and community development over the years. We believe she has what it takes to give Ogun Central a stronger voice in the Senate. That is why many of us are mobilising support for her aspiration ahead of 2027.”
Mr. Adebayo Oladipo, another member of the Iyaniwura Foundation in Ifo, described Prof. Obasanjo Bello as a credible and competent leader.
“Our support is based on our conviction that Ogun Central deserves effective and people-oriented representation. We are encouraging residents across the district to support a candidate with the experience, integrity and vision to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy.”
