Multiple Explosions Rock Kyiv After Russian Missile Attack, 10 Injured

Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Ukraine’s Kyiv early Saturday, striking four districts. A series of powerful ⁠explosions was heard in the city before the air alert was announced.

According to the Kyiv Post, at least 10 people have been wounded in the attack.

The first explosions were heard at around 3:38 am, before air-raid sirens sounded in the capital at 3:40 am and in the surrounding region at 3:54 am.

“The enemy is attacking the capital with missiles. Please remain in safe places,” Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, wrote on Telegram.

It has been learnt that the strikes have affected four districts of Kyiv, damaging civilian non-residential buildings in the Dniprovskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts.

While the authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage, preliminary reports from Ukrainian monitoring channels suggested Russia may have used Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300/S-400 missiles launched from Russia’s Bryansk region.
