Lookman takes Atletico Madridâs no. 11 shirt
Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman will wear the No. 11 shirt for Atletico Madrid during the 2026/27 season.
The Nigeria international joined the LaLiga club from Serie A side Atalanta in January and wore the No. 22 jersey during his first six months in Madrid. Lookman has now taken over the No. 11 shirt previously worn by Argentina midfielder Thiago Almada, who recently completed a move to River Plate.
The 28-year-old is familiar with the number, having previously worn the No. 11 shirt during his time at Atalanta. Lookman enjoyed an impressive first campaign with Atletico Madrid, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.
His performances have now been rewarded with the new shirt number as he prepares for his first full season with the Spanish club.
