A statement on Arsenal’s website said: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valued contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future.”
During his time in north London, Trossard featured 174 times in all competitions, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists, and was part of Mikel Arteta’s side that won the Premier League title last season.
The Belgium international has 57 caps for his country and also started all six games at this summer’s World Cup, scoring twice, as Belgium reached the quarter-finals before losing to Spain.
