Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has warned the United States that the Strait of Hormuz will open only under “Iranian arrangements,” not through US threats, following a new wave of American strikes on Iran.

“The US has yet to learn that bullying and breaking promises no longer come without cost,” Qalibaf wrote on X.

“Let me be clear: If you strike, you will be struck,” he said.

Qalibaf also warned Washington against attempting to pressure Tehran over the Strait of Hormuz.

“The Strait of Hormuz will open only under Iranian arrangements, not American threats,” he said, adding: “Do not flail around pointlessly, or you will sink deeper.”
