Iran Vows ‘unforgettable Lessons’ For US As Conflict Escalates

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed that the United States will face “unforgettable lessons” as hostilities between the two countries intensified with fresh exchanges of attacks across the Gulf region.

The warning came after the United States confirmed its first military fatalities since the renewed conflict, announcing that two service members were killed while defending against Iranian missile and drone attacks in Jordan, with another soldier still missing.

In a statement carried by Iranian state television, Khamenei accused Washington of abandoning previous agreements and escalating the conflict through continued attacks on Iranian territory.

“Now that the American enemy seeks to incite war and bear its most serious consequences, it should know that the dear Iranian nation and the axis of resistance have unforgettable lessons to offer it,” he said.

The Iranian leader also said recent developments had exposed what he described as “the worthlessness of the American president’s signature.”

Iran’s senior military adviser, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, warned that Tehran would launch broader military operations if US attacks continued.

“Iran will no longer limit itself to retaliatory, like-for-like responses,” Rezaei said, according to Iranian state media.

The renewed fighting has spread across several Gulf countries.

Authorities in Kuwait said Iranian strikes hit an oil facility as well as a power and water plant, while Bahrain’s military reported intercepting multiple Iranian missiles targeting the kingdom.

Iran also launched attacks in Jordan, where the US Central Command said two American troops were killed while defending against ballistic missile and drone attacks.

The Iranian military also claimed responsibility for targeting an air base used by US forces in Bahrain, while state media reported strikes on fuel storage facilities at Jordan’s Al-Azraq military base.

Jordan’s armed forces said they intercepted 10 missiles on Saturday after shooting down several others the previous day.

The conflict has also taken a humanitarian toll inside Iran.

Iranian authorities reported that recent US attacks killed three people and injured eight in Hormozgan Province, while officials in Khuzestan Province said dozens of strategic locations had come under attack during the past 10 days.

The Iranian government also accused the United States of targeting electricity infrastructure and desalination plants, disrupting water supplies to several southern communities.

Iran’s Health Ministry said at least 50 people have been killed and more than 500 injured since the latest round of fighting began.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi accused Washington of violating previous agreements and insisted the United States was failing to achieve its objectives through military action.

“America has violated and stopped all its commitments under that memorandum of understanding, and we have also stopped all our commitments,” he said.

Meanwhile, analysts warned that the conflict was increasingly drawing critical civilian and strategic infrastructure into the battlefield, reducing prospects for a negotiated settlement as both sides appeared unwilling to make concessions.
