In 1993, My First Husband Came Into The Picture But I Don’t Like Men, I Perfect Dogs To Men -Salawu

Mrs. Sekinat, wife of Lateef Salawu, has responded to allegations surrounding her marriage, including claims by her husband that four children from their union are not biologically his.

She spoke during an interview on Talk To B. The programme gave her an opportunity to address the controversy and share her side of the story.

During the interview, she discussed her early life, past relationships and experiences before her marriage to Salawu. She also described herself as someone who was more comfortable around animals than people.

Recalling her younger years, Mrs. Sekinat said she had little interest in relationships with men before her first marriage.

According to her, “In 1993, my first husband came into picture but I don’t like men. I prefer dogs to men. Dog was my best friend.”

She explained that her attachment to dogs began in childhood and continued into adulthood.

“Anywhere my dog went, I followed it. I was always happier around dogs than around people,” she said.

Mrs. Sekinat said she never imagined she would eventually get married.

“I wasn’t interested in men. I preferred staying on my own and spending time with my dog. Marriage was not something I was thinking about then,” she stated.

Despite those feelings, she said her first husband entered her life in 1993 and changed the direction of her life.

“When my first husband came into the picture, my life started changing gradually. Before then, I wasn’t comfortable relating closely with men,” she said.

The interview also touched on the paternity dispute that has attracted public attention in recent months. Her husband, Lateef Salawu, had alleged that four children born during their marriage were not biologically his.

Responding to the allegations, Mrs. Sekinat said there were aspects of the matter that had not been fully presented to the public.

“A lot of things have been said, but people have not heard everything from my side. That is why I decided to speak,” she said.

She added that the dispute had caused emotional strain within the family and expressed concern about its effect on the children.
