The spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, has responded to questions seeking to know if a severed manhood can work again.

This follows the arrest of a 25-year-old woman, Maimunatu Idris, of Maigatari LGA, Jigawa State, who allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a sharp knife after discovering his intention to marry another lady.

The incident occurred on 27th July, 2026 at Durbar Hotel, Badawa.

During the attack, the suspect severed the victim’s manhood,” the statement read.

The PPRO added that upon receipt of the information, the Divisional Police Officer, Badawa Division, led a team of detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested and the weapon, a sharp knife, was recovered as an exhibit.

Addressing the questions, Kiyawa said he’s not a doctor but will give an update on the injured victim’s condition.
