I Have Told God That May The Death Of This Girl Be Better Than Those Using It To Play Politics -Umahi

Minister of Works Dave Umahi has hit back at Nigerians and political figures who he says are exploiting the tragic death of nursing student Mary Habila, who died while on medical duties at his residence for political gain.

Speaking in a media coverage by Symfoni, Umahi said, “It is very strange why this unfortunate event is being twisted the way it is. Is it that we killed a woman who was treating me medically, administering drugs to me, someone who lived in our guest house, even at my residence in Asokoro? What kind of nonsense is that? People should be careful, because when I kneel down to pray, God listens to me. I have told God that may the death of this girl be a better death than the death of those using it to play politics. That is my prayer for everyone exploiting this situation,” he said.

He revealed that some groups had already contacted him threatening protests and demanding he address them, a move he dismissed with contempt.

He added that while he does not start fights, he has never lost one and that in matters such as these, the spiritual dimension carries more weight than the political noise…....
