Fire breaks out at filling station in Abuja
Fire has broken out at the AYM Shafa filling station in the Area 3 district of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a statement by the National Public Relations Officer of the Federal Fire Service, Paul Abraham, he said emergency responders had been deployed to the scene to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Abraham stated that the personnel of the Fire Service were working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings and facilities.
Abraham sympathised with those affected by the incident, assuring residents that efforts were underway to bring the situation under control.
According to him, “The Federal Fire Service empathises with everyone affected by the ongoing fire incident at AYM Shafa Petrol Station, Area 3, Abuja.
“We understand the concern this situation may have caused to residents, motorists, business owners, and members of the public, and we assure everyone that their safety remains our highest priority.
“Our firefighters are currently on the ground, working tirelessly and professionally to confine the fire, prevent its spread, and bring the situation under control as quickly and safely as possible”.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of the outbreak could not be immediately ascertained.
