The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the June 20 gubernatorial poll in Ekiti state, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has urged party leaders and members across the state to ensure the success of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential elections.

The PDP governorship candidate made this known Thursday at the inaugural meeting of Oluyede Progressive Alliance For Renewed Hope Agenda (OPARPA) for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

Oluyede stated that he would not leave the PDP but would

work assiduously alongside his supporters for the reelection of President Tinubu.

He declared that he had put an end to his political differences with the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, saying they would now work together to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election

He also anounced the formation of a political alliance involving the PDP, Accord, Action Democratic Party (ADP), Young Progressive Party (YPP), Action Alliance (AA) and other political groups to support Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

He urged his supporters and political associates to put behind them the grievances arising from the 2026 Ekiti governorship election and unite in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Oluyede stated that his decision followed a recent communication from the presidency, saying President Tinubu had appealed to him to put the bitterness of the governorship election behind him and work with his administration

He said the president assured him that the political differences arising from the Ekiti election should not prevent them from working together for the progress of the country.
